Ambassador Markell joins U.S. Delegation to the IEA Ministerial

On March 23-24, Ambassador Jack Markell joined the high level U.S. delegation as U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm chaired a minister-level meeting of energy and climate leaders at the International Energy Agency under the theme “The Year of Implementation: Accelerating Global Action on Clean Energy and Energy Security.”  The 31 members of the IEA came together at a critical time for the global economy and energy markets following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.  The 2022 IEA Ministerial Meeting addressed the world’s urgent energy security challenges, and the importance of accelerating the clean energy transition as a key part of the solution.
